Frequently Asked Questions

  .

Q: Is ER-DOX A CLINIC?
A: No.  ER-DOX is for Urgent Care.  We do not see patients in place of your primary care physician, we handle emergency situations or an illness if your primary care physician is unavailable and your injury/illness needs attention.  Instead of sitting hours in an emergency room, ER-DOX provides an excellent alternative for treating most issues that you would visit an emergency room.

Q:  Is ER-DOX AN EMERGENCY ROOM?
A: No.  But our physicians are residency trained and board certified in emergency medicine.  We can do almost everything an ER can do (without the wait).  Both Dr. Kessler and Dr. Flashner have been practicing emergency medicine for over 15 years (and continue to so in local Emergency Rooms)

Q:  DOES ER-DOX TAKE INSURANCE?
A:  Yes.  We are in network with many insurance companies.

Q:  DOES ER-DOX SEE PEOPLE WITH NO INSURANCE?
A:   Absolutely.  Visits start as low as $40.00.

Q:  DOES ER-DOX BILL FOR SERVICES?
A: Yes. For those services covered by your insurance.  For those without insurance, payment is due upon the visit.

Q:  WHAT METHOD OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
A: We accept cash and credit cards.

Q:  DOES ER-DOX ACCEPT NO-FAULT / WORKERS COMPENSATION?
A: Yes, we do.  You must bring ALL PAPERWORK at time of visit.

Q:  DOES ER-DOX TAKE MEDICAID?
A: No.  We do not accept Medicaid.

Q:  DOES ER-DOX TAKE MEDICARE?
  A: Yes.

Q:  DOES ER-DOX ACCEPT APPOINTMENTS?

Q:   DOES ER-DOX SEE CHILDREN?

A: We see infants, children, adolescents and adults.

Q: DOES ER-DOX PROVIDE ROUTINE CHILDHOOD VACCINES?
A: No.  We do not provide routine childhood vaccines.

Q: CAN ER-DOX BE YOUR PRIMARY DOCTOR?
A:  NO. Emergency Medicine/Urgent Care is a specialty.  We cannot be your primary care physician, however, if your physician is unavailable and you need immediate care or you have an urgent care matter that you were considering to go to the Emergency Room, ER-DOX is there for you!
